Sig whiskey 5, Leupold vx-5hd, or something else

I have been looking for a scope in 2-10 power or something in that range. Two of them that I have been looking at are the Sig whiskey 5 and Leupold vx-5hd. I was wondering if anyone has experience with these two. Or maybe some other recommendations on an optic that is second focal plane with decent turrets. Thanks in advance.

The Leupold VX-5HD is an excellent scope. Other options that are great quality would be a Steiner GS3 2-10x42, the Athlon Midas BTR 2.5-15x50, Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 or the Meopta MeoPro 3-9x40.
Please give us a call to discuss which would be best for you.

I'd also take a look at the Vortex Razor HD LH 2-10x40.

I've never been overly fond of Vortex rifle scopes but I have two of these Razor HD LH models, mine are the 3-15x42 version, and I can tell you first hand, the glass in these is very good quality.

My 20-250 wears a VX6, not the HD model, and the Vortex Razor HD LH is easily on pare with it.

Got the VX5-HD in. It’s very clear and crisp. Haven’t messed with the turrets yet but I don’t plan on dialing it much once I get it zeroed. As far as the glass, it’s really nice.

Thanks Adam. I stopped by Cabelas yesterday and looked through a few scopes. I was impressed with glass clarity and how forgiving the eyebox on the vx-5hd was. The new vortex pst gen 2 was pretty impressive as well. I can't seem to find anyone that has the Sig scopes in stock.
