Simmons Whitetail Classic Question

I just got a Whitetail Classic in 6.5-20x50. I bought it after reading all the positive reviews. I agree that it is pretty good glass, especially for the price.

It is my understanding that they are Japanese glass assembled in the Philippines.

My question is this, are all the WTC's Jap glass assembled in the Philippines?

I am thinkin of getting a lower power model for a calling rifle, the 6.5-20 will be for another rifle.

Thanks for any input,

Can't remember where I heard this but I thought the WTC was made in the Philippines and the rest of the Simmons was made in China.

You are right as to the WTC..just bought a Mil-Dot and made in the Philippines. I only own the WTC line which I like a lot.

The Whitetail lineup were Phillipine made scopes long discontinued .I own 4 6.5x20's and one 3.5x10 . All have clear glass and never had a problem . Natchez still has some of the lower powered models listed in stock . They are a lot of scope for the money .

Since they have been dis-continued, only bad thing would be if it had a problem!
