Use 3 cups of Hydrogren Peroxide and 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of Dawn Dishwashing soap, it has to be the blue stuff. This is the best formula I have ever used, and believe me I am the king of getting skunks. Works good on the collars too

I have never had any problem with it. It will take almost all the smell away but you may have to repeat the proccess the next day.
I had a skunk killer that lived in the house and was able to bring her back in the house after one treatment.
I tried the tomato stuff and was able to bring her in the house after a month or two.
Now I just use it on the collars and the dang dog can just wear it off.

Well, i guess its about like the porkies, some guys have all the neat tools and tricks, but when you pull a handfull of quills every few years a plain 'ol set of pliers does the job fine. Its not very often one of my hounds gets hit by a skunk but when they do they get to live with the smell.

Jesse it takes less time to use a piece of styrofoam to get the quills out....

I dont pull many quills but would like to hear this trick!

Just take styrofoam and press it on, the quills come out without you having to part the guard hairs. After you have most of them off you can start pulling guard hairs to sell...

I think so too. Still a good tip though.
