ok guys ive got a problem. i cant find a rifle sling that doesnt slip off my shoulder. not a prob except when calling predators. i guess i carry more stuff in other hand. i am 6ft 245 yrs of high school and college football have left my shoulder pretty round. all coaches want their players not to have necks.lol i have tried all kinds last one i bought i thought would be great it has those black dots on inside of it like on alot of gloves. it worked great till cold weathe and had to put on heavier coat.

emtpredator,

Check out the Outlaw Sling from Timber Butte Outdoors. It was designed to solve the problems you are talking about exactly.

It will not slip off your shoulder, it leaves you hands free to carry your extra stuff, or drag or carry out your game, without worry of dropping your rifle or shotgun from your shoulder. It is more comfortable than the traditional single shoulder sling, because it distributes all the weight of your gun onto both shoulder, transferring the weight to you back, hips, and legs.

The Outlaw Sling or The Outlaw Sling QR! See all our products at: www.timberbutteoutdoors.com/products.html

Thank You & Good Hunting.

Sew a button on shoulder of your jacket or shirt and any sling will work.

Joking aside, I like to carry my rifle muzzle down on my weak shoulder. This allows me to shoulder rifle w/supporting (weak) arm in a hasty sling very quickly. The button will hold sling on your shoulder, hands free.

Why do you have a signature referring to the very product you supposedly never heard of before? Seems just a little bit like a set up.

HPW,

Since emtpredator (Matt) has began this thread, he has seen the Outlaw Sling, and he liked it. He asked about my ProStaff Program, and we discussed it.

After talking to him several times, I decided to add him to my ProStaff. That is why his sigline says Timber Butte Outdoors & The Outlaw Sling.

I hope that helps.

Allen builds a sling that grips on to your shoulder like glue. I carry a Savage 12FV which tend to be front heavy and it still keeps on my shoulder. I think they make different types, this on looks like foam on the back. Gander has them.

The best fix for all slings sliding off your shoulder no matter what gun or brand sling is to....sew on a button on you hunting outer wear, both sides. Problem resolved!

I agree sew on the large buttons I have used them for years. If you are in need of a new sling I suggest that you look at the products offered by our sponsers here on Predator Masters. They are great products and they help to keep this forum up and running free to the members here.

I have a bull barrel rifle and i just put the sling on it upside down and carry gun with barrel down. It doesn't slip off and more comfy to carry that way. You need to watch when kneel down and on my rifle I need to reseat the bolt. It lift up abit from being against my body. Or could carry it on the left side. But no big deal.It is alot more comfy as I said.
