Slip 2000 Carbon Killer and Bore Tech Eliminator

I am looking at dyna coating a few rifle barrels and I used Wipe Out patch out to clean. I cleaned for a week with a nylon brush and let it sit in the barrels for 24 to 36 hrs. A friend of mine gave me a small bottle of Slip 2000 Carbon Killer and a small bottle of Eliminator. Has anybody every used Carbon Killer and then brushed the bore and not got a dirty patch? The same with Eliminator have you ever used it and let it sit for 15 minutes and not got a blue patch? I don't have a bore scope but I sure thought my barrels were clean with wipeout. For kicks I used slip carbon killer and brushed the bore and was really surprised to see a dirty patch. Then after two sessions with the slip I ran a couple of patches with eliminator thru and yep blue patches. I just want to know if anybody has ever used this and not seen these results.

I have used both products.
I would guess that when you used the Slip 200 it is possible that the dirty patch was because the Slip cleaned your brush unless it was a new brush.

Bore tech Eliminator shows blue from just touching the brass jag which is why they sell jags designed from another alloy so you don't get false readings.

I have been using bore tech proof positive jags and I will brush with a nylon brush to see if that helps.

Just don't think the patch should be that blue. Remember I was getting nothing with wipeout

I have had similar outcome when using bore tech c4 carbon remover after patch out, I have not tried the eliminator or the copper specific boretech material yet after patchout.

Looks like the slip 2000 was icing up brush. Switched to nylon brushes and patches were a it cleaner. Eliminator still showing blue patches.
