Snake call

This is the prototype for an idea I had yesterday. I did this one kind of fast just to see if it would work. Maybe the next one will look a little better. It sounds fine, I was afraid it would'nt have enough volume with the barrel being so small but it'll really scream. [image]http://[/image] [image]

Looks like you need to have a great name for it to. Like rattle attack or the mad momba, or cotton screamer, some kinda viper name you get the idea. It has that viper head style. Looks cool.

Hey Lamar,

That is way cool! A smaller barrel will often produce more pressure and great sounds. If that thing got hold of me I'd be screaming!!!! A little stain and paint on the eyes and that would pass for real! You have a future here as a call carver... I'd love to see more! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

If you made that one kind of fast I can't wait to see what one looks like with a little time put into it , I mean it has great detail as it is . Great Call and Can't wait to see more of your calls .

Awesome looking. Not real sure if I would want to blow up a snakes backside anymore than I would the front end. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

That call looks real good Lamar, but the idea has been around for a few years. LOL! Here's one of several that I carved back in 2005 and sold here on Predator Masters. I had mentioned about slipping this call into a buddy's pocket on a dull stand for a little excitement! Folks don't realize how tough a snake is to carve, till they try doing one.

Thanks for looking and the comments. Here's a picture after I added the lanyard groove and permantly mounted the tone board. [image]
