Just wanted to bump this back up. The new SS 5-20 are suppose to be top shelf stuff. Given the history of the SS line and how good everything else from them has been I cant imagine anything less from them. For the current SnipersHide group buy price they are a steal. better get onboard before its too late!

SWFA is a fine scope I've had one for about a year, thats a good deal.

The $250 models are still available, just 299 now. New stuff doesnt even compare to the old, in a completely different class.

Different class good, or different class bad? No where in my area stocks them. The only time I see them is at local gun shows, and the vendors put price tags on them that puts them in the same price range as Nikon and some Leupold's.

This newest SS HD 5-20x50 is a fine, fine optic. Nice crisp turrets, great glass & an interesting reticle. I've only shot around 150rds thru mine, but I think it's well worth the intro price I paid for it...
