Agree on soft case convenience..easier to pack. I took five(5) rifles on this years PD trip and soft cases easier to stuff..and we were loaded.I agree hard case for all airline travel or if I am taking only one rifle on a hunting trip but other than that soft for me. I prefer well padded assault rifle cases...mag pockets and usually a good sized exterior zippered pocket.
