Custom Call Maker
This is definately my new favorite skinning blank. Handles wonderfully for skinning and just for general use. Some customizing to the thumb swale on this one too. And, I re-ground a 20 degree edge, which is my preferred cutting angle, finished out with the lansky system.

It's 8A Stainless, 7 1/4" overall, with a 3" blade. The tang tapers from 5/32 at about mid point both ways, to the tip and the the butt. Sweet heft and handling. 7/8" wide.

This one is silver bolstered, with Bog Oak spacers, Leopard Wood Scales, and a Moose Antler Butt with a lanyard grommet. It's got real subtle finger grooves, which get hidden in the leopard wood really well, and feel yummy! The tapered tang is spaced with black and brick vulcanized carbon fiber.

Fully sealed and oil and wax finished. Comes with the form fitted leather sheath pictured...

Here's a look or two...

Thanks Guys! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

If I had a $110 dollars that didn't have a place to go (Tax time.... Have I mentioned I hate the IRS) I grab it up. Absolutably beautiful.

Very nice Steve... Man you are making some awesome knifes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gifKerry

Gents, I was the fella who bought this knife. Steve was fantastic to work with during the entire purchase process and was extremely fast in getting it shipped out. It was well packaged and arrived in a very timely manner.

The work on this knife is absolutely beautiful. I am not able to find a flaw on this knife any where. I am almost hesitant to take this knife with me this winter for deer season back in Missouri.

If you've considered buying one of these custom made knives then I can not not recommend Steve highly enough.

Sreve, when will you have some more for sale? I need gifts for my dad and brother.

Welllllllll..... I'm having a busy month here!

I'm closing down my car business, so there's moving out of the leased shop and all that. Then when people hear you're quitting, they all jump up and say, "OOooo! Oooo! I got this project, now that you're not running your business anymore, can you spare a few days? I'll pay ya!" I'm happy when they'll pay me, so I'm all directions at once.

And on the knife front, I'm in the middle of 5 different to-order projects. I'll post some pics of them soon. ('cept the steak knives! I ain't doin' another set of steak knives! Maybe a knife/fork/spoon or something, but to make 8 knives by hand and make them all look identical... Sheesh!)

I did just pick up THREE handmade, High Grade, High Carbon Stainless blanks from my favorite Guild Member Bladesmith! (Gene Martin, Provision Forge, Williams OR.) They're all super high end steel, and they'll be awesome cutters! I'll be building them on speculation if nobody grabs them with an extra extra special custom order.

Thanks for the purchase, I'm more happy that you're happy with it than you are! I really appreciate it fellers!
