I was getting a itchy finger so I decided to go out and see if I could get anything to respond to the x24.. as I was getting dressed and loading my stuff up in the truck the snow flurries started coming down pretty good and thermal conditions was not the greatest but luckily it didn't last long... my 1st stand was a blank but i did hear some from a far distance respond to a pair howl, on to the 2nd setup which didnt last a few mins and had a red fox coming in to mfk cot-tail sauce the 105gr blitzking exploded that guy and after the shot I scanned around and seen there was a coyote that was running away opposite direction I didn't notice he was working his way to me the same time as the fox or I would have tried killing it instead.. 3rd setup was another quick stop in the river bottoms after 2 mins or so I killed a female coyote coming in to the same rabbit distress.. 4th stop was another blank stand... on the 5th stop I turned my headlights off as i pulled into the farm lane and scanned out the truck window which I seen a single coyote mousing around so I carefully got out of the truck and put gun on my tripod to take the freebie shot, killed that female coyote but shortly after the shot I heard another coyote howling in the woods further towards back so I figured I'd make a move closer in its direction to get setup, within 10 mins of setting up I had a big male come out of the woods giving me a 200 yard shot, it was DRT... I made one more blank setup before heading home for the night

Last night's temp dropped down to 10° and my phone was saying it felt like 5° with the windchill..besides the cold weather it's a great night every night that I get to go out hunting no matter if I kill anything or not and it dont even matter to me if I have a hunting buddy along with me or hunting solo... some people dont understand that feeling of complete silence while hunting in the total darkness

Mick and I spent 10 days/nights (Jan11-21) hunting Illinois West of Terra Haute and only killed 4 coyotes and saw only 3 others-what's your secret :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:. Congrats BTW

Majority of my kills have been produced from bird/prey distress still in the first few mins, but ive also have had a few others that has not showed up till i started playing coyote vocals and fights
