Solunar tables of any help?

So, after a nonproductive night, 1st of 3 farms was one getting a coyote nearly every night in same location on a camera (now with a road kill deer nearby), was wondering if any way to predict when they are active. Have often seen how will be quiet for awhile during night, then they "turn on". Do the solunar tables ever help? Checked for last night, a "major" period was the last few hours I was out.

We notice more movement during the major times sometimes. Sometimes we are out during that time and nothing is ou but more often we will catch something out and about. If we only have a few hours to hunt we will pic the major movement time to go. Right now I’m my area there are so many gut piles and unrecovered or wounded deer for them to eat it’s almost not with turning the call on. We’ll just sit and ambush a few spot they travel a lot til it gets colder and they are more responsive.

Not saying I am right, but I have never seen any correlation. I tried real hard. But, nope.

Some days an area is completely dead. Other days, it is alive and full of activity. I just have not seen any rhyme or reason.

I am sure there is a reason, I just don't think it is the moon.

I hunt when I can ,but do seem to see more game movement when the moon is right.Live in a log cabin on a lake and see lots of critters in the yard, but do not shoot them in the yard.

I started using the moon signs and am very impressed!! I know I am not a lucky man, when hunting says between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and having better than average results, well, I am staying with the moon signs. I would suggest trying it, look up the "MAJOR TIMES TO HUNT",, I think you will be surprised,
SAFE HUNTS!!

Just another excuse to stay home. What are you going to do, make better stands, be more alert or hunt harder because of the Solar/Lunar tables? Hunt and fish when you can. The solar/lunar tables are always correct if you only hunt or fish when they are optimal or only half-heartedly make an effort when they aren't?

You do know that predators can't read ànd always have to eat. How many animals do you know that pass up food because the moon isn't right.

Well there's no doubt you can't kill anything but time setting on the couch. But I also know when you have a full moon for a week it makes things tough as well. I know a lot of hunters that put a lot of faith in the lunar tables. I know a lot that won't hunt if the wind isn't just right too. I'd rather go and strike out than not go at all.

There's a good article on how weather and moon phase effects deer hunting on Bowhunter.com. It may or may not have anything to do with predator hunting but still a good read.

The only thing I have witnessed and seems to be somewhat reliable is that here in GA, night hunting is better the darker it is. Less moon = more activity. Just my personal experience.
