sound cards?!?!

I have a homemade e-caller setup and have downloaded most of the sounds from varmintal.com and some other sites to use with it. I've had problems with sound quality from these sounds. I tried to use an audio enhancing program to clear some of the sounds up but they just seem to be distorted when I turn up the volume. I have tried several different amps and speakers with no improvement. My question is this: How can I get clear sounds for calling onto my computer? I would like some very high quality cottontail distress, bobcat, and pup distress calls. will the cards from, say, the JS callers fit into my card readers so I could extract the sounds? Or do you guys know of any other sites that have good quality sounds? Thanks guys.

I've got more than 30 commercial cd's of excellent calling sounds on the shelf. Shop around.

I have the exact same problem. One of the members on here was kind enought to share some legal sounds with me that he had sent to me on CD. I cleaned them up with Audacity and I still have the same problem. At least now I know it is not the sound file. It has to be the amp or the MP3 player itself.
