Sounds like the 24 Nosler is on the way

Midsouth has dies for backorder. I looked at the dimensions and it's short, same length as the 224v, and has a rebated rim again. The good news is that it should be easy to use 224v brass necked up. They gave up a bunch of capacity it looks like. It won't be much over a 6x45 the way it looks to me.

This is really only an odd deal. Giving up the capacity on this one is nuts. The original V. had some good case capacity of about 1 grain more than the 6X6.8. Of course the 22 was longer at 45 MM vs the 6 at 43. This one being right on 40 MM makes it virtually the same length of the V. as noted. With rebated rim stealing space if it runs any faster than a 6X45 I would be vary surprised. Sure it will throw a 105 at magazine length but we all know how how far that will go considering the low velocity and the very limited scope of the bullet usage in these small cases. I got some 105's up to 2770 in a 24" 6X6.8 so this one will probably mosey along at around 2650 if it is lucky. I've pushed 95's at 2850 in a 26" 6X45.

Making that brass out of a 22 Nosler will be doable but I wonder where that shoulder area will end up. Sure you could use the VALK. case but once again that rebated rim thick head base is going to steal even more space. I bet if we wait three months we will see a 6 MM Valkyrie any way and it will have more capacity than the Nosler but it is barely more than the 222 Magnum in its current form.

I think they are reaching on this one. Neither fish nor fowl.

Yeah kind of disappointing design. It would have been so simple to just stadardize the 6×68. Or a 6 grendel variant if you want to please the long bullet crowd. Heck a regular 6ppc would likely outdo this one.
