This is for anyone who lives here in Southwest New Mexico that either traps or calls and collects the fur to sell. Who is the Point of Contact (fur trader) that frequents this area. If anyone has this information and is willing to share, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
Not sure where you are looking in SWNM but the last buyer that came through was Globe Hide and Fur. He quit coming to my area a few years ago. Don't know of any others but I'm looking for a local buyer that can tag bobcats instead of my having to go over to the G&F Distric office.
 
I sent an e-mail yesterday to westtexasfur.com a guy named Tommy, he mentions a New Mexico route on his website, and it says he is out of Monahans, TX. I have yet to get a response but will share on this site when I do.

I live in Lordsburg, and have yet to find any local fur buyer. I am going to check with the local taxidermists next, local meaning Silver City.

they will treat you good and make routes throughout new nexico theres also a annual fur sale in belen at the fairgrounds byt the NMTA
 
Thanks for the information, Chilson that is exactly what I am looking for. I did get a response from Kings Fur out of Monahans, Texas, but he doesn't possess a New Mexico fur dealers license, but is willing to meet anyone down that way on the state line.
 
I just called the R L Cox Fur and Hide CO, they have a route already established to Hobbs, Roswell and Carlsbad for those of you interested. If there is enough of us showing interest and to make it worth their while, they might try to make a route into southwest. FYI
