Any body else buy this? I'm disappointed in it...there was no data for .204 in it. Is there data in any of their books on this caliber or do I just go to their web site and get it?

Thanks...

I got one with my reloading kit. I really like the reading in it. It is lacking in some calibers but overall a pretty good reference. I also have a Sierra, Hornady, and Nosler all have the .204R

All of the manuals are missing a caliber or few - it takes many years to put out a new manual, and a company can't re-publish a new one every time a company get a thorn in it's buns to make a new one (that most of the time, dies in a year or two).

The Speer is one of the best ones around.

I like my Sierra Manual better than the rest of the ones I have due to the updates available that can be had by specific caliber and inserted, just like a loose leaf notebook...For $30, it's a little higher than some others but much more flexible...

THIS is the one I like the best..I also have Speer, Hornady, Hodgon, Lee, and Sierra's CD, as well as data sheets from Vhita Vourhi, Hornady, Ramshot, and Sierra's AR specs for .204 & .223...

Does Speer make a .20 caliber bullet? I have not seen one and since they don't sell powder etc why would they run tests to produce data for someone to sell a product they don't make. Hornady and Nosler along with Lyman ,Berger and Sierra all have data for the .204. I like Speer but don't find myself picking up their manuals as much as others these days.

I'm not nocking their manual other than the .204 data,it has some real good info on a lot of other calibers and reloading its self. I have all or most of the other manuals mentioned too. I just want'd this one for the library and more reference, sorry if it sounded different!

Thanks....

I was not aware of that. Nobody around here carries Speer bullets so I seldom see them on the shelves. Good to know.

Gotta check the "born-on" date on those manuals …..
Since being swallowed by ATK, Speer was told to shut-up and make bullets for federal ammo. There are zero plans for a new manual in the near future. Was in Lewiston a few weeks back fishing, and stopped to see an old friend there. Unfortunately Sierra is in the same (although not as dated) boat. No money being budgeted for another manual within the next 3-5.

Hornady, and Nosler seem to be the last ones still actively shooting and producing manuals. Few companies left that aren't part of a defense contractor, or just sell to the private market as a side gig.

There is some 204 data on their site that I can get,as stated before I just want'd it in the book.

Thanks for the input though...

Gene
