Are Speer bullets any good? You never hear much about them for predator shooting or target. A marketing issue or what?? I bought 800 of them at a gun show so I hope they group well.
When we still had groundhogs, I shot a bunch of Speer 52 grain HPs. They did not have the highest BC, but they were ultra reliable. Unlike many HPs they had great expansion and obviously they did not get deformed tips like many soft points.
I think the 52gr HP's could be the best overall bullet made for coyotes out of a .223AI or faster chambering. And I've yet to own a .22 caliber gun that didn't shoot them into nice small groups.

It is a marketing issue - some years back, Speer decided to pour most of their efforts into pistol bullets and they have some of the best pistol bullets around.
Their 52gr flat base hollow point is one of the most accurate .224 factory bullets around.
Very good bullet. Before I started to load my own I almost exclusively used the Ultramax bulk .223 loaded with the Speer 52gr HP. Impressive sounding "WHOP!" When they hit a coyote and their legs would just fold up like a lawn chair out from underneath them. Killed a bunch of coyotes with that bullet, I fact you got me thinking about them again.
I have killed a good many coyotes with the 50g TNT. It performs like a little Exocet missile-it penetrates the 'hull' then explodes devastating everything inside. A couple of spins and yips and they are finished with rarely an exit. The 50g seems to be a faster killer than the 55g out of my .223 ARs.

That is because the 55 TNT's are designed with a thicker jacket - look on the end of the box - they are designed for the higher speeds and higher rotation of the 22-250 and the .220 Swift!
A friend of mine used the 52gr HP in his 22-250 for years and got great accuracy from it and it was murder on the groundhogs. I used the 100gr HP in my 257 Roberts and it gave descent accuracy and took a fair amount of groundhogs itself.
