Never used them in a 22-250 but have used thousands in 223,in my opinion one of the best general use bullets. I have used them for everything from prairie dogs to hogs and really like them

I bought a couple thousand a few years back. I tried to get them to shoot just for fun at first. I quickly gave up and just use them for off hand shooting practice.

The 2 rifles i did load development with have NATO chambers and shoot lights out with other designs.

Something without a hogged out chamber may shoot them into tighter groups?

I bought 1000 of them several years ago. I found several inexpensive bullets that shot great in my Swift. The 55 grain Hornady spire point did well too. After several runners on prairie dogs (man I hate that) I quit using match bullets on them. Never lost one that I can recollect when using anything with a spire point. I dont shoot them all that much any more but would in a pinch.

I've used alot of speer 55gr in several different 22-250 varmint rifles. As good as any other bullet in a prairie dog town. Cheaper than most too.

Mine shoots 55 grain V MAX great ,was wondering if the Speer soft nose jacket was thick enough to handle 22-250 velocities.Ran into this problem back in the late 1980s or early 1990s

What are you going to use them for? Depending on your intended target and desired end result, I may recommend different bullets. There are so many good bullets out there today.

I had a Rem sporter 22/250 barrel opened up into 22/250 AI for use on coyotes. I fireformed killing coyotes in Arizona with the 55g Speer spt with 38.5g-39.0g of Win 760 at 3850 fps.
They killed coyotes well grouping around 5/8". They are not a fur friendly bullet at all.

If you like a less expensive bullet, I also used a lot of 55g Winchester sp, they are not fur friendly either.
