Spot Hogg WiseGuy?

What are you using the release for: hunting, target or competition

Anything made by Spot Hogg will be high quality and durable and they will back it up with flawless warranty.

Its a great release for those who have small hands and that are not hunting with it (not a forgiving release). It wont extend out far enough for me to use.

The trigger is very light and does not have enough adjustment if you like a hard pull. I like to feel the trigger then pull slightly more to release. The trigger is to light to do this, If you touch it, it will go off.

I do not like that style of jaw. With me it seems to torque the string a little at release, which is a bad thing at long distance shots (50-90 yds). I shoot the Scott Little Goose which has one straight jaw and one curved (much more forgiving style of release).

But compared to other one jaw releases its a good one. Durable, well made and unbeatable warranty. And it shoots well compared to other one jaws.

Keep in mind that I experiment a lot with diff equipment all the time. I always try and use the equipment that is the most forgiving, of which will lesson the chance for error when making the shot. To me its not a hunting release and is more designed for target.

Hope this helps

Popapi,

Just shows how everyone has different opinions. I shoot one for hunting and love it. I think it is very forgiving with a clean glass break trigger. I like a light trigger, and I do agree if you like a hard pull its not for you.

I also like after shooting it a little, you can hook it on your string loop with out taking your eyes off of your target.

I've tried others, but always come back to my Spott Hogg.

Find a good range who carries one and demo it, but I love mine.

Good luck
