title says it all. I looked at these yesterday at the local shop and WOW fit and finish are great, fits my hand real nice except would need extended slide release.

anyway looking for insight as to reliability/accuraccy etc.

My buddy who is a DPS officer bought one about 5 months ago and love it for his off duty concealed. He had never had a issue with it feeding or reliability. He has over 600 rds through it without a hickup. Accuracy is great for a concealed weapon. I love the looks and the feel of it.

I bought an EMP in 9mm about a year ago. The gun was problematic from the start with very poor quality control. After a trip back to Springfield, and a little additional work, it turned out to be a nice little pistol. FWIW, even though SA designed the frame a bit shorter from front to back to accomodate a 9 or a 40, in the end it is still a short 1911 feeding a .40 S&W. Chances are you will be fine, but be prepared for feeding/reliability issues.

For that kind of $$$ why not just get an H&K P2000sk with an LEM trigger? It should be less expensive & you will have no doubt if you made a good choice. JMHO of course.

I have an EMP in 40S&W and it is a very reliable handgun. My only issue for CC is the fact that it is a bit more heavy than I prefer. For others that might no be an issue.

I carry a glock 30. My kimber stray for range use. I wouldn't want my pretty gun in police hold if I had to use it. Fwiw. I'd get a good good duty carry pistol not a nice pretty piece, I'd rather it works every time regardless of what I do to it in case I needed to use it. Take a ccw course also. Lot of good information there

Im not familiar with that term. What/how do you do that?

Thanks for responses guy. I too don't really like the price tag but im going to keep my eye open for a good deal on one. pistols that fit my hand good are few and far between so I think its worth pursuing.

Put VZ carbon fiber 320's on mine and I really like it.
