Picked up a stag lower today at the gun shop and there was a Allen head screw with a green plastic tip on it score is maybe a 1/4" long put the lower together and everything works but have no idea what that screw is for?

agree. some lowers have an extra hole tapped under the pistol grip. It reduces the triggers take up.
I believe there are also lowers that use a plastic tipped set screw to apply tension to the upper receivers rear takedown lug. Takes the wobble out of a loose fit
I never checked for an extra hole when I put the grip on but there is no hole I can see under the trigger in the receiver. Not to worried about it just never got a lower with one of those in the package with it.
