While scouting for the elusive javalina (we did get one) I was glassing the side of a hill right after sunrise and noticed something letting off steam............Fox Poo!
So I pulled out my trusty Fox Pro and began quietly playing Platinum-Blonde Fox. It must be breeding season because less than a minute later I had a "Blazing Baculum" charging straight towards the call.
About five feet from reaching the call the little fox stopped to sniff his own poo, giving me plenty of time to send a double dose of V-Max his way.
After collecting today's trophy, I had to rig up a way to get the fox the two plus miles back to base camp. Furse+Carabiner+Load-Bearing back pack= Easy way to carry dead weight.
It was about 10AM at this point and after hearing that I had scored some fur. My girlfriend donned some Arizona State Camo and got to work skinning the fox.
