Steel targets

I am looking at getting a set of steel targets for the range. I would be shooting these from ranges of 100-400 yards with different rounds. (.22lr - 338wm)

What sizes would you get for round face targets?

A 4" and an 8" would be good.
The 4" is one MOA at 400 yards, and the 8" would be 2 MOA at 400 yards. I'd play it safe and get the 1/2" thick stuff.

JC Steel Targets in Washington has some great AR500 plates. They are great folks to deal with and they ship in Flat Rate boxes.

I have a 6" and an 8" and the way i hang mine doesnt let the 6" "ring" (the audible report) very well. Shooting steel is a lot of fun!

Thanks ks.
The last angle brackets I got came from JC Steel. I think I have enough to make 4 or 5 stands.
I bought the 4' pieces of rebar already cut at Lowe's.
They work great.

I got the t-post brackets on my 10" plates from JC's. We went out to the desert and drove the t-posts every 100 yards down an old two track and we shoot from a small hilltop. Lots of fun.

I really like his targets, thinking about ordering more in the next few weeks.

I've got a bunch of steel targets and really like a big plate 18"X22" for longer range with a small plate you have no idea where you hit if you miss the plate.
