Any of you own and shoot one. I'm looking at one in 223 Remington and curious as to accuracy and just an overall opinion Looks like a nice rifle to me.

I almost bought one, but ended up deciding to do a custom…from what I’ve researched they are pretty excellent. If you check Palmetto State, they have been having them on sale every few weeks for an incredible price…I check earlier this week and 7-08 was on sale…for Xmas it was .308…not sure what other calibers will be offered if any.

Buddy of mine has one in 243. Never had a problem with it. Hunts with me all the time, uses it almost always. Watched it kill a few coyotes and a semi truck load of deer

I've been looking at PSA now. They have the 223 and the 243 for $649. Regularly over $1200. I don't really need one but when does need have anything to do with it. LOL! I watched a few reviews and they are pretty positive.
Agreed that’s why I almost bought one due to the price being basically half off…I have no doubt it’s a quality rifle…I had just purchased a Tikka T3X in 6.5x55, so it was either buy the Steyr or buy a scope for the Tikka. I chose the scope as I have enough rifles to cover all of my needs for calibers other than doing this custom I will mostly be accessorizing or upgrading current ones. I like to tinker with little projects and see the gains from adding performance parts.

I know what you mean by tinkering. I'm terrible about buying a rifle and start buying "accessories" before I have even shot it. Seems I have gotten a reputation with friends of buying a rifle, get it to shoot bug holes, then sell it and start over again. Seems that's what I do to occupy my time.

My buddy had one in the pro TBH model in 243 about 15 years ago or more. It was an awesome looking rifle. Never got to shoot it before he traded it off.

PSA has the Pro Hunter III for $649 plus tax and shipping for a 223 or 243. Making it about $720ish. A guy on the Campfire has the same rifle NIB but in 308 for $800 shipped. I have a 223 and a 243 so I'm leaning towards the 308 and just paying a few bucks more. But, I'm on the fence about any of them as I'm just not sure this is what I want. Sure don't "need" another rifle right now but we all know about the need part..
