Stock recommendations for savage model 11

I’m wanting to replace the Tupperware stock on my savage model 11 in 243 and I’m looking for some recommendations. It has a spotter barell and I typically hunt predators and deer.

I have use several accustocks they may not be the best looking but they are very rugged and hard to hurt and you can get bottom metal for them and magazines. Northland shooters supply might have one instock just make sure you get the recoil lug you will have to remove your barrel and install this recoil lug its a bit of a pain but works real well the weather and ruff use will not hurt it. If you are in the Utah area I have one and could help you with it.

I used a MDT Field stock on my RRA 300BO and love it. A Bell&Carlson would be a good choice to. Of course there are a ton of other brands as well. Boyds are good but heavy. The KRG Bravo is nice. All depends on budget but for me, the Magpul is last on the list. Nothing wrong with them, I just don't care for the way they look and not sure how much better than what you have now.

This is my SAVAGE .223 deer rifle.
MDT LSS.

I have 3 with the mdt hnt26. Huge upgrade from the accufit stocks i had been using. Noticed a significant reduction in recoil from them too, even on the 243

I've had good luck just using the factory Tupperware stock, I hog out the barrel channel so it can't touch the barrel no matter how I push or pull on the forend. I skim bed them so they can't move in the stock. Shorten the butt to fit and kill stuff. It saves enough to buy another rifle.

22-250 Shoots good enough that I shot the egg shoot with it and broke some eggs, not enough. I killed this guy on the way back to camp from the egg shoot.

I just put a Boyds classic on a Rem 600, it needed bedding and a little relieving for the bolt release. The factory Mohawk stock had a repaired crack that opened when I ran some full power 350 Rem Mag rounds through it. A little blacking on the action revealed the high spots. Same with a Howa mini I put on, it needed the bottom metal deepened as the mag wouldn't go in far enough for the bolt to pick up a round. I bought the Howa as a barreled action, I didn't like the thumbhole Boyd and found a takeoff tupperware factory stock and all is good.

I do replace the trigger guards with metal ones also, boyds has the metal trigger guards nicely priced.

Bell & Carlson is the easy answer. If your action has 4.4" screw spacing. And if you don't mind adding bottom metal and a detachable mag. Savage magazine conversions are not hard with factory parts.

If your action is 4.275" then you can modify the stock screw hole spacing in the aluminum bedding block if you are handy. I did it last year, it was pretty easy. Inletting the bedding block for an aftermarket DBM setup took some work. If you are comfortable bedding an action, then you can do this project. I described my process in depth here.
