Here's one picture of the female coyote I bagged this morning. Check the photo gallery for more pictures and a LOOOOOOOOONG story. Sorry the pic is so crappy, but it was -24º and I was more worried about freezing to death than getting good pictures /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

nice coyote. I don't mean to sound like an a--. but if you face the sun when you hold your next dog up for a picture, and the camera man put the sun to their back it will give you a nice picture of your kill for your trophy book. GOOD JOB BAGGING THE COYOTE. how many you killed this season?

wmduckman--You are right, I should have had the sun in my face for these photos. I don't think you are an a-- for making the suggestion. Unfortunately there was no second party to take the picture; it was -24º out; I was tired from dragging the coyote over a half mile to this spot; I set the camera on the tailgate of my pickup at about a 45º to where the sun was coming from; I set the camera on auto-timer and the picture was captured; and then I loaded the coyote BEFORE I froze to death!

I have taken a couple of pictures in my lifetime and I usually make sure I have things posed just right; but there are times when I don't bother to turn my pickup around or drag out the tripod to get the sun in my face. This was one of those times. Sorry, I'll try to do better for you next time!

Now, take a look at the photos I posted in this link:

Nice job Silverfox,

-24 is mighty cold! I'm surprised your digital camera even worked. I did the same thing the other day, propped camera on tailgate, sometimes that's the best you can do. You can also turn on your flash and "fill" the picture. That sure is a blue sky...wow! Nikonut /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey ya ol' fox.......

Congrats!! -24.........brrrrrrr. It has been a long time since I lived in Bismarck!

Good Hunting,

Bob

Hey Silver....nice job, from one North Dakotan to another. By the by, what time of day did you call, and what call sequence? I haven't gotten out for over a month but I'm thinking I'll need to break out the Red Desert and the Austin.

Nice shooting,
Kendall
