Suggestions for a LOUD far reaching rabbit distress call

I've got some big country to hunt, wondering who makes the LOUDEST far reaching bunny distress hand call (open reed). This wouldn't be a call that I'd use in every situation, but in some of these deep long box canyons and wide open plains I could sure use the extra volume.

THNX

ps - I'm open to either a production made call or a custom call from any of our PM call makers

I just happen to be finishing a turn cowhorn LOUD open reed call today, that I will post up for sale later. Not an inexpensive call, but definately loud.

Edit: I posted the call, but it sold already. Let me know if you are interested in a custom one, otherwise I'd say the Yellerdog toneboard sounds like the way to go for production.

I was just about to say, Tony Tebbe modified an old huntsman horn that was my grandfathers into a howler and if it were tuned to a Rabbit Distress, it would be heard at the other end of the county...

I'd really consider contacting him for the project.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I practice my calling everyday and I can tell you those YDD2 are LOUD!!!!!!!!!! As a matter of fact I am about half deaf. I have to were ear plugs now.

I haven't run the Yellerdog, but I know his units are sure well made. SUPER smooth and consistent. Tony knows how to up the volume too. It's all about air channel and efficient exhaust.

I've got a handmade production style call for cheap on my webpage that is louder than anything I've ever heard. It literally hurts your ears to blow it. I called a long distance, high wind Coyote in SE Washington with one of them a few weeks ago. It's not as smooth running as yellerdogs, but it's still got a great sound, and man is it loud!

I've not heard the YDD2 but I can sure vouch for the YDD3 as being an excellent toneboard for all distress and you can make it very loud if you want to!!

If you were to look in the dictionary by the word LOUD, it would have a picture of my JackNasty by it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
