Swagger Bipods???

I carry my rifles in a scabbard so anything attached to the forend is out, sticks I can stuff in the scabbard along side the rifle.. I also have problems with anything bipod attached to the rifle, I find it hard to change positions if a critter comes in from the side or behind, bipods hang up in the grass and brush. If they are at the side or behind they are usually close enough to take the shot offhand and not enough time to collapse the bipod.

The ball bungees are for my stool.

I have the Swagger QD bipod. The springs need to be stiffer, there to flimsy. I didn’t care for the twisting to extend the legs either. I’ve tried Caldwell, BOG, and Collapsible Shooting Sticks. I always end up going back to Harris.

Shooting sticks all day long, tripod at night, just can’t make attached bipods work,to ungainly. But I don’t have a swivel type bipod.

Exactly what marine guy said. Exactly. Couple of dings in one of my rifles, because the springs wouldn't hold the rifle up. tipped over and hit concrete. I was less than happy.

I've never used them but hunted with a local who kills a lot of coyotes off one. It was interesting for sure and versatile enough for hunting in the hills, but I am very happy with my cheap Cabela's sticks. I don't like bipods attached at all anymore.

^^^^ Bipods are always hanging up on grass, brush, etc.; sticks, not so much. I find sticks much easier to use, and if not, ya can dump them and shoot offhand (especially on close shots) with no drama.

Agree with 204AR on the versatility. They are pretty handy on uneven ground, but, FLIMSY. And, expensive for what they are. I'm still on Harris and tripod at night for scanning.

I have on of the original bulky attached and the newer QD42. I love them. With the QD there has been a time or two when I get sat down on my stand and realize I left the swagger in the truck. They work very well standing up also. you can grab the legs and stick them in your crotch. You get a pretty steady hold that way. Twice I've used them that way. once, I called it quits on the stand and when I stood up there was a dog 30yds to my right that I never saw... I made a standing shot on a running dog. Ill continue to use them, and I feel no need to look into any other options.

I have the QD model and i like the fact that I can quickly remove it and stick it in my pack. I don’t find it to be flimsy, I would say it’s flexible which I think was the idea behind it. I have several different types of bipods and they all have their purpose.

Tons of pros. One less thing to carry. Super stable and versatile. Great maneuverability of the sight. Quick and easy adjustment of height. AWESOME on uneven ground.

Cons.......adds bulk and weight to the rifle. Awkward offhand shooting

No experience with the newer quick detachable model
