SWEET GUN CASE-Plano Air Glide

I don't know if any of you have used this case but I am hear to tell you it is AWESOME.

You can put your rifle with scope in the case and secure it inside, there isn't anything pushing on your optics. The top then flips over, to close, and has a place for a lock. Your rifle is protected, your scope isn't getting banged against other objects...and it's inexpensive. Shipping is about $13 bucks but well worth it. If you don't have one ORDER one you won't regret it.

We need a gear/product review forum on this site...hey admin what do you think? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Wow. That's a unique concept. I don't think I would want to give ANY plastic case to the airlines...but it looks great for everything else. I'll have to check that out.

Thanks for the info! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Ditto what Hidalgo said!

That wouldn't make it ten feet with American Airlines. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif They managed to squash a new solid aluminium case of mine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Cool idea though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Let me set the record straight...I wouldn't use one for the airlines, but for all other times that I would use a gun case..You have to understand your gun sits in a cradle, the scope is never touched!!!! I'm telling ya, there sweet.

By the way my Bushmaster Varminter Flat top with blocks and a Leupold scope fit like a glove.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif REALLY??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Now THAT has me even more interested.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I use one on my atv, I have it bolted to the side of the front tool box. I can easily open it to load. I put extra foam padding in it.T.20

OK...I ordered 4 of these from MidSouth (what the heck, for that price /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif), and I have a 2nd review for you guys....

These are well worth the money. (Thanks, BooneDawg /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif)

The only issue that I have with these is that my Bushmaster will NOT go into the case. I have a Nikon with a 50mm objective. The case will NOT close on this large of a scope (diameter-wise) on an AR type rifle. Maybe with a different mount and a smaller Obj scope they would work.

Other than the issue with the AR, I have no bad things to say about these cases.

My Ruger with it's 26" barrel fits with 3"-4" left to spare.

There is an extra piece of foam included. I am assuming that it is to go wherever you might think that you need some more protection. Nice inclusion by Plano.

I will not hesitate, in any way, to use them for trips to the range, for a hunting trip, or even for a road trip where I am personally handling the cases myself. They have, as of this moment, replaced ALL of my other cases for daily-use protection.

Like I said before, and was seconded by Dave, these are definitely NOT worthy of airline travel. But then again, who would try to use a $30 case with the airlines. That duty is reserved for my Do-All brand aluminum cases.

Overall...this case is worth the money if you are looking for good protection in a very usable and firearm-friendly case. The way that they cradle and secure the weapon without possible scope damage or undue pressure is wonderful.

BOONEDAWG.....NICE FIND! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Think a RRA 18" EOP w/ 32mm glass would fit????

Stormking, that's hard to say. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Boonedawg had no problem with his AR fitting, but mine is about 1" too high to close the lid. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

For the way these things carry, you might want to entertain risking the $30 and order one to find out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Hidalgo, I think I just might. Alway work for my bolt guns if the AR doesn't fit. I'd bet that would tuck real nice in the xtra cab of my tacoma.

Thanks BooneDawg!!!

Picked one up today at [beeep]'s sporting good's for $30.
Not for airlines at all, but very cool case for car use.

Thank you for your post, info, and help!!!

I got one years ago for waterfowl hunting. They work great in wet conditions because no metal parts touch anything which allows it to dry more quickly and you don't have to worry about drying your case if it gets wet.

Sounds like a great case a great price, Ill definately look into these. O.T. I am ordering a scope this week and noticed while checking out the case that they have the scope im looking for at a good price, how is the sites reputation? Have you ordered from them alot? Im leary about making big $ purchases from sites I have no experiance with.

Thanks for posting the info on case, I will be needing one soon.
