The barrell and forearm don't look parallel, is there any adjustment in the mount? It looks like the beam would be above your point of aim or impact with that current setup.

Looked at the stud model, I would worry I'd hit the light as I slung the gun over my shoulder.

pmack....

I agree with you on the unit with the stud and that's why I ordered the one without it.

There is a certain amount of taper to the stock forearm and that's why the light is not perfectly parallel with the barrel.

However:

1. This is a coyote TLR and has a broader center spot that the XLR 250
2. This is also a short range setup (22 WMR) for hunting near farm houses
3. I plan to supplement the TLR by using the clamp on scope mount along
with the Olight M20 crimson. That should provide fill for any problems
related to the angle of the TLR.

The main reason I opted for this unit is that the TLR is fairly heavy and I did not like the weight mounted to my scope tube. Another option would be scope rings with picatinny top rails on them.

As you can see the TLR is just mounted in a cheap 1" scope ring. If someone wanted to take the time to do it, the ring could be lapped at an angle that would straighten the light.
