Gentlemen I would like to know how some of you like you T C icon. I was at a gun shop Thursday and they got one in on trade this one has really nice wood on it and its been a safe queen all its life its 308. It came with extra magazines new in the boxes and a scope on it
 
If I lived closer, I'd be there in a heart-beat for it.
Its one of the best designed and machined rifles IMHO.
My hunting buddy has a couple that he'll never sell, even to me!
 
I have one in 30tc I load 165 gr bullets, probably same barrel. I like the machined scope base. Easy moa rifle. The recoil pad was thin on mine, had a kick eez pad installed and is much easier on the shoulder. My rifle has the butter knife bolt handle.
 
Icon is a great rifle. Really well design and a fantastic action. When S&W bought TC they cut the Icon, and most good things TC, because they were expensive to produce. TC once did $75 million in business a year and now they do $6-7 million a year. Great work S&W.
 
Well I've gotten to clean it and check it out good this is a very nicely made rifle. I never seen them around very often so when the chance came up I jumped on it the bushy scope will get swapped out for a nicer scope. But I'm liking this gun can wait to shoot it at the range
 
Years ago, I had an Icon heavy barrel in a laminate stock. It was a very nice rifle but ended up selling it to a T/C dealer. He wanted it worse than me. I now have two Ventures, a 223 and a 308. The 223 is unbelievable accurate. Still working on the 308.
 
Mine is in 243, and shoots very well. Sub-MOA is easy to achieve.

I am a Sako fan, and was deciding between the Icon and a Sako A7. The TC rep I was speaking to told me how good the Icon's shoot, so I thought I would try one.

I am not disappointed, at all.
 
When I couldn't afford an Icon, told myself "one day". By the
time it was affordable for me, it had been dropped from
production. Thanks for nothing S&W!!
 
Well I finally got to go shoot it today.i got off work early and took it out and this thing will shoot now the next thing is to replace the banner that's on it with something nicer. But I was not expecting it to be that smooth of action and the trigger is a surprise too and thanks guys for the info
