T20 or other recommendations

I have a need for another IR. I'm thinking about getting another T20 off amazon. I am curious if there is any other cheap alternative that is worth trying out. Thanks gentlemen.

Bambers, the T-20 is probably as cheap (and good) alternative that you can find. There is also a T-38, T-50 and T-67 if you need more light, which you may not.

What NV scope are you using?

I don't know if more light would be necessary. Is there just a difference in strength of the light as you go from T38, T50, T67?

That's my understanding - just stronger beam. I have the T-20 and the LLTL-001, both of which are for all practical purposes, the same light.

Sniper Hawg lights make an IR module for their line of lights. They also have an adjustable tail-cap, so you can change the amount of IR. Its fairly cheap, and I have found it to work quite well. It gives you the ability to adjust the amount of IR and the head adjusts the beam from flood to a direct beam.

I started out with the T-20. But I was trying to use it with a camcorder and that wasn't enough light. Then I bought a T-38 and I like the casing, housing, body of the light much better. But that wasn't very bright using my camcorder. I had to get a new camera.
Once I got the new camera, everything improved. I now also have a T-50. I like it a lot, but it's not a cheap light.
Out of all of theses lights, I'd say get the T-38.
There is a new bulb out that you can put in the T-20 called "black Sun" .
The manufacture claims it's much brighter than the regular T-20 bulb / pill. So I bought one, but I wasn't impressed.
Maybe 5% or so brighter.
So My opinion is get the T-38.

I second the Sniper Hog 66LR with the IR module. I sell these and they were amazing when we did testing with nightvision.

I'm sure the sniper hog is good, but it is triple the price of a T20. I already own a torch pro and was happily surprised by the T20. It makes my torch pro look weak and that torch device is much more expensive. I think I will try the T38, I don't think I can go wrong for $36.
