Table Top Reloading Press Stand?

The Woodchuck Den is selling a table top reloading press stand. The picture doesn't show the press on the stand. They say you can mount the press to it and use it anywhere in the house on a table so you are not limited to loading at your bench only. Has anyone used one of these? I just wanted to see if you would recommend it. Thanks, Lonnie

I've been loading off this stand for 30 years so I guess I understand the concept. I can use it anywhere I want and not be stuck to a bench.

I have one I got from midway but I really do not like it much it slips and slides all over in tile and is not real steady on carpet when useing any real force for FL Sizeing

It's probably going to depend on what you reload and what you like.

Lyman used to sell one, as well as a cheap press that could switch from bench to a handheld unit. They still make the Ideal 310 tool, a hand held loading tool. I've got a couple and like them for straight-wall pistol cases but for any heavy duty use, a strong and heavy press mounted to a strong and heavy bench is the way to go.

If it comes from the WoodChuck's Den it's probably been tried by them. Todd runs a pretty honest operation and I doubt he would sell something that was going to give him or his customers any grief.

Here's a homemade stand I saw on another site.

Another option, and looks pretty easy to build.
Some cheap rubber feet from the hardware store would probably keep it from sliding around to badly.

They are pretty similar to what Repete pictured and are supposed to be a good unit. They are easy to make and you would save $70.
