tannerite

How long do you think tannerite will be available with a 50 lb limit, considering the fires blamed on it's use and the injuries/death caused.

The only reason for injuries or fires is people being stupid in the way they use it. Here in Utah you cant even use it on public land any more because of the idiots.

Yes ID OR and WA have bans during summer and feds are banning too. I also have heard copy cat makers are including magnesium in the mix to avoid tannerite patent.
They all get lumped the same when it comes to bans and legislation.

Kinda like guns... Except the fires part...

Does this stuff have any uses other than recreation?

opens up beaver dams.

How big a can for the average size dam. I was thinking that this spring but didn't know if it would work or not.

Tannerite does not cause fires according to the instructions on the jars. Believe me Iv'e shot it in some dry conditions and no problem at all.

Indeed it does! I found that 3 pounds does a nice job on small dams. Problem is you have to get it tucked in and low on the dam for it to work.

Yep a ban here in WA went into effect in late june. I know up north of me that some kids started a fire with some kind of exploding targets. A lot of people don't know it's banned here.

I was wondering if anyone has been killed by it and found this;

"A man was killed by shrapnel at a farm in Fillmore County, Minnesota on June 15, 2013 after Tannerite was shot at a bachelor-bachelorette party after it was placed inside some metal objects. Fillmore County Sheriff Daryl Jensen stated that in this case the Tannerite was “used with other materials” in a manner that was not included in the manufacturer’s recommendations."

play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Our fire district has responded to numerous fires caused by exploding targets. All of them were caused by brand names other than Tannerite. Heck, I am the Safety Officer for our county fire department and I have used Tannerite in tinder dry conditions. It's the other stuff that causes the problems.

Wouldn't be the first time a man was ruined by a beaver with bad intentions.

we have dry conditions here and i have set it off in a dry lake bed, 20#s at a time, strapped to a old water heater, 99% of the time it shouldn't start a fire because the rate of burn and expansion is such that the ball of fire blows it's self out. (meaning that its so fast that it doesn't have the heat to finish the three legged stool for fire.. Fuel, air, heat)
But 20# in a ammo can will break down an old water heater like a champ.. There is little left, and decient crator.

Yeah ... didn't Jeff Foxworthy talk about a guy getting his nipple bit off by a beaver?

Them's dangerous critters.
