tannery for elk leather?

i used to take my hides to rocky mountain tanners in denver, a guy i know started the company. but he sold it years ago. in 2007 i took them a cow elk hide and one coyote, after a year and a half and numerous phone calls, i never got the hides but did eventually get a refund. another friend dropped off a hide at the same time and almost 2 years later got a hide back but it was not the one she dropped off.

i have not had an elk hide tanned in years, any suggestions? i am looking at leather not hair on.
 
If you are looking for a great tannery for hair off I would use YOST tannery. http://www.yostfurdressing.com/
have been using them for years for our hair off and garment tan. great prices and even better results.

I know of a few tanneries that exchange hides one for one.
some times works in your favor and others it straight sucks.
 
thanks for the tips.

i will have a moose hide to get done next month too. not too often i get a moose tag so i need to get it done.
