Tasco Scopes

I could not find a scope with a large enough eye relief and 1/4" MOA adjustments for my combo gun. The gun is a Remington SPR94 12Ga over .308. It kicks hard with 3" 12 Gauge loads. So I ordered a Tasco 1.5-4.5X World Class scope with a 4" eye relief and Millett rings. Finally after looking on Millett's web site I found a 2X scope with a decent eye relief. The Tasco scope was only 50 bucks. I read a review of it online and it got decent marks.

Oops the review I read is from Predator Masters /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif -->

Is is possible that a cheap scope like this could hold zero and have a decent clarity? All of the feed back on Cabelas site was positive as well.

I've got an old Tasco 8 by 32 that's been on every rifle I own including an 8mm Rem mag without loosing zero. It's been shooting now for four years without a glitch. I use it for base accuracy testing and on one or another varmint rifle every spring and summer for ground squirrels and rock chucks.

All I've seen of elk the last two years in Idaho during hunting season.

Funny how the word TASCO and a picture of crap are in the same post above...

I've personally seen three TASCO scopes utterly destroyed by slug guns. One of which was my own, back when I first started hunting with my buds. Two of theirs didn't fair any better than mine...

I hope you have better luck with your scope than we did ours!

I will mount it and see how 4 inches of relief works. If I break it I am only out $50. If I find another Scope I like I will put this one on my 10/22.
