Tasco Worldclass scope

The first scope I ever owned was a Worldclass. I have owned several since. Seems to me the older Worldclass were built better than the ones today. I also am looking for a new scope for my new AR. Looking at the reviews on here and other places, you might check out the Redfield's.

I try not to bash a product but I have had a couple and had no luck with them cameralandny.com has Vortex crossfire scopes on sale right now.

We sell them at Academy or should say that we stock them rather. The current crop is like looking through a foggy fish eye lense. The older ones were demonstratively superior in every way, those days are long gone, dead and buried.

I have a Tasco World Class that I bought about 25 years ago when they first came out. It is as good a scope as I've ever owned, it was on my deer rifle for a number of years and never once lost it's zero. The clarity is good, and I now have it on a black powder rifle. BUT.....there is a huge difference between the quality of today's Chinese made Tasco scopes and the original Japanese made ones. I would not buy one of today's Tasco scopes.

Chupa, thanks for letting us know what the problem is. I bought a 4-16 world class 15 or 16 years ago for a 223 and have been very happy with it.
Until you said what the specific problem was, I could have been tempted to buy another. I allways knew they were cheap scopes, but haven't looked through a newer one.

Maybe a ground squirrel but anything larger they would break.

Over the last 30yrs I've had about 15 and have never had any issues. I've used them on rimfire, mini 30 muzzle loaders and 7mag. But have noticed the older ones (japan) are better.

I had one on my rem760 in .308 win. It broke after 2 years and about 100 rnds. They aren't worth the plastic they're packaged in.
