I think that for the money, they are great. Lifetime warrantee is hard to beat. I keep an ultralite .38 Special in my car for just in case situations. I have a fine .44 Special 5 shot (looks a lot like a M66 Smith and Wesson) that carries like a 4" .38 Special but hits MUCH harder, I also have an early M44 .44 Mag that has had thousands and thousands of rounds fired though it that I would NOT like to shoot through my S&W M29 but this gun handles them easily. I even have a cute little 2" J frame sized gun that holds 9 shots of .22lr that will dance a pop can WAY out there if you can hold on it right. So yeah, I got a few Taurus guns and I likes them see? You wanna make sumpin outta it? Huh? Do you?
