I use the pt1911 as a carry gun. I have had it for 2 1/2 years, and probably around 5000 rounds through it. The bad is that the bluing has been wearing off but that is to be expected from a carry weapon. Also for one of the two magazines it came with it will sometimes stovepipe on the last round. Not a big deal since I don't carry spare mags.
