I love S&W guns the feel and looks and everything about them. I have owned several 29s and many others. What really turned my stomach with smith is i bought a model 329PD. My dad bought the same one within a week. we had problems with both guns. He sent his in i took mone back and got another new one. none of them would shoot 44specials. When dad got his back it looked like it was left in a ditch for a month then pulled behind a truck a few miles. and function like it as well. It was 10 times worse when he got it back then when it went in. Smith was a real A-hole from the start and never did fix it. There CS was the worse i have ever seen and delt with in the firearms industry. There QC has went way down there pride fell with it as well. I still own a few smiths and all ways will. They are the classic revolver company in my eyes. I just hope they change there CS and QC or they wont be around putting out guns like the 329pds. I will stick with the tride and true older 29s for now.

Sorry about the rambling all companys throw out a lemon. The thing that makes it or breaks it is one the number of bad guns relased. and two how the company handles the problem that got threw all the quailty check stations that should of been caught. From the taurus i have owned and my brother has owned they seem to be a well built gun now. Im sure there are ones with problems but they sell a helll of a lot of them because of prices. I would go out on a limb and say there is probally 4 or 5 taurus sold to 1 smith.
