I wouldn't buy one just to try it out, resale is bad and you'll be wasting money that could be put to a better use. There's a million threads about problems with them, people are still curious based on the price. Kind of like asking "Is herpes really that bad?"
There are a lot of things that beat a lifetime warranty,even hipoint has one, for a reason. One of the things that beats a lifetime warranty is owning a firearm that I never expect to have to send in for service. Having a usable pistol the 5th time it come back from the factory isn't much of a selling point to me.
