TC Encore or TC Pro Hunter

Quarter Round

Considering a muzzle loader purchase and found these two models interesting with the idea of multiple barrels.
Will the Encore barrel fit the Pro Hunter?
Which rifle would you chose and why?

If your primary use will be the muzzleloader the T/C pro hunter ML with the swing hammer and twist and turn breech plug is a no brainer. If you handle both together in a gun shop you will find the pro hunter balamces much better in the hand due to the longer trimmer barrel profile on the ML.

I have shot about 7 or 8 the T/C pro hunters in .50 and they all have been 1 1/4 3 shot shooters or less, about 4 of them under 1 inch using 777 loose powder.

Any Encore/Pro hunter barrel will fit any frame but the fore-arm fit may be different depending on outside barrel diameter.

I asked The T-C custom shop what the differance is between the frames I was told the only differance is the swing hammer. That can be installed By T-C custom shop on any Encore for 70.00 plus shipping.

Hmmm! Maybe an Encore frame and then fit it out with the other items per my liking. Looks like it is time to get the old calculator out and do some researching.

The T/C trigger group lends itself to some very fine tuning.

You may likely find a T/C encore ML "used" for about $450.00 to $475.00. Those guyes are up-grading to the T/C Pro Hunter. That is why I have 2 of each.

If you think the T/C pro hunter trigger is "better" you need to pull the trigger on the new T/C Triumpth. WOW@@
