TC Venture Recall

I just got a letter from Smith-wesson saying that they have put a recall on all tc ventures that were made before oct. 2011. I have alot of money in this rifle (300 win mag) with a scope and rings and all but what gets me is the fact that i went through a box and a half of shells fine tuning sighting it in and plus a charge to have my scope professionally installed. Iwrote them an email asking them to possibly refund some money for those things, especially since i will have to pay all that stuff again because i am not allowed to send it wi the scope on. Would anybody else feel this way if you were me? Im barely skimming by with house payments, and college keep in mind.

not really about those things..missing my gun and worrying about its safe travel, yes.. you should be glad they are going to take care of you.

firstly there is no reason to pay someone to put on a scope.. its a minor skill, you really should know how to do it.

fine tuning sighting..not sure what your method is but it rarely takes me more than 4 rounds.

although I will use 2 or 3 cheaper factory rounds to get it on paper/semi close.

i would not expect them to pay it. Like Timbertoes said, its wasy to do youself and a waste to pay someone else to do it, and sighting in should not take more than a few rounds.
