tenn wild hog laws changed !!!

landowners can still kill on there land but other people cant unless the land owner aquires a permit from twra for them to kill the hogs out...it is no longer opened to anyone hunting them is the way i understood thought poeple should have a heads up thats here in tenn

If that ain't ridiculous... Want to eradicate wild hogs, but you close season on them to everyone but landowners and 10 of their buddies. I'm sure that'll go over really well! [beeep] folks might plant pigs outta spite for that one!!

I think it interesting that they are removing wild hog as a take species on public land. Florida went the whole other direction - they know they're making money on public hog hunting and encourage it. They claim hog are nuisance and non-native, but the last thing they want to do (even if it were possible and it's not)is eradicate them.
 
i agree... people was planting hogs to areas they wanted to hunt the, thats one reason they changed it but like u said theyll do it more now just b/c... bowknutt thanks for fixing that
