"This cockbird flew down a little early, and commenced crowing to world. The only thing he managed to attract was the attention of this hungry coyote"...
Back before the demise of pheasants in this part of PA, I used to sit out on the deck in the early morning, having my coffee, and listening to the cockbirds crowing and cackling for all they were worth. Sadly they are gone, and no one knows why? Maybe that's what inspired me to do this carving, and the last one? November was the time for pheasants for my Brittany, and me! He's off hunting better grounds now. And I'm delegated to carving a tribute of better times on some horns..LOL!
This bison horn howler is 10" (tip to tip) and is accented with a Macassar ebony mouth. The carving is highly detailed, and finely painted. This howler has an excellent sound, and will reach way out there. It is signed and dated. Asking $250.00 Delivered. Thanks for looking, and for the memories!
