The night was cool but not cold like we've faced the past few weeks. The 24 inches of snow was mostly melted, and the crisp NE wind was refreshing as I made my way toward my stand. I setup facing east and placed the call about 50 yds. out along a hedgerow. Almost immediately I had a coyote working along the field edge to my NE and doing what coyotes do as she worked to the south. She seemed to be on a mission and even though she was getting closer all the time, she didn't appear to be all that enthused with the bunny blues. I knew there was a crossover point through the hedgerow and into the next field, so when she stopped right in front of the crossover, I was concerned that she would hit the crossover rather than turning toward me along the hedgerow so I took the shot at 166 yds. The hit was solid and she dropped down into the crossover. I didn't entice any more coyotes with vocals or prey distress so I gave it up after 30 minutes and made the recovery.

I just guess she wasn't hungry Owen. Just to show how different folks sight is different, I can't even see that yellow reticle on the critter, green is another that just barely shows up against a white background for me.
Nice shot BTW.

I’m with you, Mike. I much prefer the blue or red reticles on my RIX. Even when in Black Hot I do not like Yellow or Green.

I agree it shows up much better on black hot, but I can see it well in the PIP. I probably should change it to red for white hot. 6mm06 says they are coming out with a black reticle so some may like that better on white hot. It's funny you should mention the reticle because I was thinking how in the world do you see that little dot in your last video, but again I'm sure it shows up well in PIP.

It does show well in PIP and it is my 'quick' range finder--half the body at 200 and the whole body covered up at just shy of 300 in the PIP when in base mag of 2.8
