This is the best forum I have found USGI mags where should I get them

What capacity and where do you guys typically buy the USGI mags?

I like the most reliable and am not afraid to pay extra to get the best so any model number would be a big help.

I don't have one source for USGI mags, since I just shop
around, and when I find a decent price I buy some. As
for capacity, for plinking, I like the 30 rounders, and
they look so "Cool". For hunting, I prefer the 20 round
mags. I think my case spare mag pouches are loaded with
2 20 round mage, loaded with 55 gr. Ballistic tip hunting
ammo, and 3 30 round mags loaded with FMJ ammo, for plinking.
For whatever that is worth.

Get the ones with the green teflon follower. Some of the older ones (Surplus) will have to be upgraded. My only caveat to that is, I have two old 'Colt' 20 rounders that have never let me down.
 
I still have a few friends from my days in US Army recruiting command. They can hook you up with all the mags you need, unlimited ammo and a paid varmint hunting trip to places the general public is not allowed into! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Yes!

A 20 round may also hit the bench. It depends on how high your bags are. I shoot 20's off the bench.

MilSpec 30 rounders were $9.43 at Knob Creek. Cheapest I've seen.
20 rounders don't need the green followers like the 30s do.
