I just received a package from THO Game Calls containing 2 calls that I purchased off of his EBay site last week. One is a beautiful, cross-cut Cocobolo Coaxer (that sounds like it will do the job and then some) and a very nice Birdseye Maple open reed. The open reed call has both a single and a double reed for easy customization of sound. Al does an absolutely superb job in making his calls with attention to detail, great sound, comfortable shape, and a depth of finish second to none.

Just because Al is not posting much anymore doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on his calls. I noticed a few more on his site yesterday and actually purchased another one.

Al, keep that lathe turning!

I agree 100%. I'm awaiting my cross-cut cocobolo coaxer, with bells on. Al has a nice selection on his ebay store right now.

I gotta admit. I was eyeballing that coaxer myself. I have a few THO calls and every single one is perfect.
They look too good to take out in the field, but sound too good not too. He could double his price and still sell as many calls as he makes.

THO Game Calls are second to none.I must have atleast 4 of them now.Plus Al is great to deal with.It is hard to believe that he still sells them so cheap.
 
Who called me cheap? I am not cheap. Easy is another thing. My significant other told me I was so easy it was a good thing I wasn't born a girl. But I aint cheap /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
I have 5 THO calls...Al is a master craftsman...and I have to stay away from the e-bay store...I have a weakness...I used the crow call last turkey season, and had a "blast"
You will love the tho calls...they just don't get any better, and dealing with Al...well without sounding gushy...he is a true gentelman.
