I have a t/c venture in 204 cal, it has produced some outstanding groups. with 40gr Vmax under 1/2" at 100 yards for 3 shoot groups. 32gr Nosler BT's will shoot well under MOA as well .
The action in mine is very smooth, much smoother than my savage or marlin. The stock is a little different than most rifles in this category, I really like it because its thinner than most and its also very rigid & well built.
Mine is free floated all the way to the receiver, it was like that from the factory. Trigger is adjustable and pretty clean breaking.
I would say the Venture is one of the best bolt rifles you will find under $500.
