Thompson Center Icon

I am thinking of purchasing a T C Icon in weathershield with the synthetic Houge stock
I have never been a big fan of the synthetic stock
I can also purchase a Precision Hunter with the laminated stock or the classic in ultrawood
I am in Canada and will be using it for coyotes and groundhogs so it will be either 22-250 or 223
Coyote hunting will be mainly in the winter so it will be out in snow and cold conditions
I realize these guns are discontinued by T C - so I might be left with a "orphan"
Would appreciate your comments
Thanks

The ultra wood Icons that I have seen had drop dead gorgeous wood. The synthetic stock and weathershield metal would be more functional in a wet climate.

I've owned an Icon with the Hogue, in 243, since 01/01/2012/ Superb accuracy is the norm. On it's maiden voyage to the range, I had 7 different loads along and 5 of the 7 were sub-MOA.

Very nice rifle! You won't be disappointed.
