Rico RH50R LRF , 1st time behind one, and singing out some praise for this thing . Buddy picked new model up couple weeks back, and i was checking out tonight. I got to say it definitely a top dog for a 640 therm. rifle mount unit.
Not running the rubber boot eye-guard on the Ocular lens, So first thing that jumps out at you is the BIG Ocular lens, and the forgiving eye positioning for the large view screen . Nice Big finger control buttons are right up there on top, and usable for gloves. Easy to grab focus knob up front, and a easy grab, smooth turning magnification lever up front.
Was just pissing down cold rain. 38 deg. F outside, so was not out in the field for a hunt. Was just out on the back covered deck using it . It been Cold raining for days so all outside was super high humidity, wet/cold surfaced washed similar ambient Temp. So it was some dirty conditions for checking out the units image. Still the Rico RH50R was easy seeing couple small deer out 400 yrd. fairly clear with one bedded down, and viewing farther way out downrange was still good usable scanning image. Was really surprised it's usable hunt image even with pushing it in this crap weather conditions.
To much water in the air to even think about using the LRF. So did not check it out . Not wild about thew proprietary battery,, but the magnetic connect for hookup on a remote battery power supply was pretty sweet.
